Kara LaFrance

Upon the advice of her art teacher, Kara's parents put her in private art classes. Ever since then art and all it's incarnations have been a prevalent factor in her life. When it came to choosing a career, Kara wanted something equally creative but not
infringing on her private meditation and personal joy of painting.

The answer, Graphic Design. She received a BFA in Graphic Design from the internationally recognized design school at Rochester Institute of Technology. Her career began in Boston at a small design firm specializing in Non-profits and socially responsible businesses. Another passion was born.

This passion remains today albeit on a smaller scale. Kara is one of the millions with a rare disease and late diagnosis. Acromegaly has changed the projection of Kara's life but she is still an Artist, Designer and now, Patient Advocate. She continues to work
with nonprofits and small businesses and
is currently reigniting her passion for
oil painting.
